PREMIER SCOTT MOE VISITS CHINA

Premier Scott Moe, "This past week, I was pleased to be the first Premier to visit China in six years.
With support from the federal government, we’re beginning the work of rebuilding Canada’s relationship with China.
Our goal is to open doors for more conversations, including one between the Prime Minister and President, to advance opportunities for Saskatchewan and Canada.

Saskatchewan’s relationship with Japan is an essential one.
Japan is looking for reliable and sustainable trading partners to meet its energy and food security needs. Saskatchewan is uniquely positioned to provide exactly that.
That’s why Minister Kaeding and I spent time in Japan this week meeting with companies, investors, and government officials discussing how Saskatchewan is a dependable partner in providing food, fuel, and fertilizer to the world."

PROVINCE OPENS SASKATOON CORRECTIONAL CENTRE EXPANSION TO ENHANCE SAFETY, CAPACITY AND REHABILITATION

Corrections, Policing and Public Safety Minister Tim McLeod, K.C. and SaskBuilds and Procurement Minister David Marit officially opened the expansion of the Saskatoon Correctional Centre (SCC), increasing the capacity of adult men in custody by 312 beds in the province.

"The opening of this expansion marks a major step forward in strengthening public safety in Saskatchewan," McLeod said. "This expansion modernizes SCC, ensuring a safe environment for staff, offenders and the public. We are not just adding more beds for offenders; we are providing them the supports they need to change their lives for the better."

"The expansion of the SCC shows our government's commitment to building a stronger and lasting infrastructure in the province," Marit said. "Our ministry will continue to look after the building's daily maintenance, so it operates at its best."
